One-to-one practice for men

Sometimes a man needs a place to pause.

A 75-minute session for a man who is used to coping and carrying responsibility, but currently finds it harder to hear himself. There is nothing to prove and no need to rush towards a solution.

You can come even if it is still hard to say exactly what feels wrong. We can begin there.

About me

It is possible to endure a great deal and still lose yourself.

For almost three decades, I have built leadership experience in scouting, the military, business, men’s communities, and demanding expeditions. I have walked thousands of kilometres, spent hundreds of hours instructing others, and led professional training and men’s groups.

Yet the hardest period of my life began not on an expedition, but after the end of my marriage. For nearly a decade, I lost touch with my feelings, alcohol became part of everyday life, and life lost its colour and meaning. Although I appeared strong and capable from the outside, inside I was sinking. I found my way out through patience, therapeutic work, and an honest encounter with myself.

That is why my conversations with men are grounded in more than theory. I know what it means to be responsible for others while failing to notice your own fear, shame, exhaustion, or loneliness. I also know how much courage it can take to say: “I need help.”

I offer a safe, human conversation with clear boundaries, where I do not rush to fix, judge, or hand out prepared answers. I help you slow down, name what is happening, and move from inner fog towards greater clarity. I do not diagnose, provide treatment, or promise quick solutions. If I see that professional support is needed, I will say so openly and encourage you to seek it.

02 / APPROACH

The practice

Together, we seek clarity and understanding.

Daily life often calls for action, decisions, and taking care of others. In this conversation, you can stop rushing for a while and bring your attention back to yourself.

We talk about what is alive now: your thoughts, relationships, tension in the body, choices, or something that is still hard to put into words. We are not trying to force a quick answer. We begin by seeing more precisely what is causing difficulty, how it shows up in your life, and what may have gone unnoticed until now.

Giving this time and attention can help separate facts from familiar reactions, recognise important needs, and understand more clearly what is actually required. When useful, conversation may be supported by breathing, attention to the body, imagery, or another experiential approach.

How we work

A

Attentive conversation

Without urgency, judgement, or prepared answers.

B

Noticing

Allowing what repeats or remains in the background to become clearer.

C

Experience

Sometimes it matters not only to understand, but to feel what is happening.

What may stay with you

  1. 01
    A greater sense of calm

Less inner tension and more space for yourself.

  2. 02
    A clearer understanding of yourself

A clearer view of your feelings, reactions, and needs.

  3. 03
A next step that feels genuinely yours

A direction that comes from within, rather than from pressure.

03 / PROCESS

How sessions work

What actually happens during the 75 minutes.

Two empty chairs prepared for a calm conversation
01

We begin where you are

You do not need a prepared story. We can begin with one event, a feeling, silence, or simply: “I do not know where to start.”

02

We slow down and clarify

I listen, ask questions, and pause where an important tension, contradiction, or recurring reaction begins to show.

03

You keep the choice

If I suggest breathing, attention to the body, or another experiential method, I explain why. You can always decline or stop.

04

We finish without pressure

At the end, we name what has become clearer. You do not need to make an immediate decision or commit to another session.

05 / QUESTIONS

Questions and answers

What to know before the first session.

01Do I need to know exactly what I want to talk about?

No. A few sentences about what currently feels tense, unclear, or difficult to settle are enough. At the beginning of the session, we will look together at where it makes sense to start.

02Who is this one-to-one practice for?

It is for men who want to understand their state, reactions, relationships, or choices more clearly. You may come during a life change, exhaustion, inner tension, or a sense of disconnection from yourself – or when life looks fine from the outside but lacks clarity within.

03What can I bring to a session?

We can talk about relationships, difficult decisions, life changes, loneliness, inner pressure, recurring reactions, or difficulty understanding your feelings and needs. The subject you begin with does not have to be the final one; the conversation often reveals what matters most.

04What happens in the first session?

The session lasts 75 minutes. We begin with what prompted you to reach out, and the conversation then develops around what matters at that moment. When useful, we may include breathing, attention to the body, imagery, or another experiential approach.

05Is this psychotherapy?

No. This is an individual practice based on attentive conversation and experiential methods. I do not diagnose or provide treatment. If I see that support from a psychologist, psychotherapist, or another specialist is needed, I will say so directly.

06Do I need to continue after the first session?

No. You can come for one session and take time afterwards without deciding anything immediately. If you want to continue, we will arrange the next session separately.

07Can we meet online?

Yes. Sessions take place in person in Vilnius or online. We choose the format according to what is more convenient for you and suitable for the subject we are discussing.

08Can I book a session if I live outside Vilnius or Lithuania?

Yes. Online sessions are available in Lithuanian or English, so location is not a barrier. In-person sessions take place in Vilnius.

09How much does a session cost?

One 75-minute session costs €75. We agree on the time, format, and practical details before the session.

10How is this different from psychotherapy, coaching, or mentoring?

It is not treatment, diagnosis, or a programme leading towards a predetermined result. I also do not present my own way of living as the right answer. My role is to listen carefully, help you notice important connections, and understand more precisely what is happening with you.

11Is the conversation confidential?

Yes. I do not share your identity or what you say without your consent, except where disclosure is required by law or there is a clear and immediate risk to someone’s safety. Sessions are not recorded without a separate, explicit agreement.

12When is this practice not suitable?

It is not suitable for an immediate crisis, suicide risk, a severe mental-health state, active addiction, withdrawal, or a situation requiring treatment. In those cases, contact a doctor, mental-health professional, or crisis service; if there is immediate danger in Lithuania, call 112, or use the local emergency number elsewhere.

13What are the communication and cancellation boundaries?

Between sessions, messages are for scheduling and other practical matters; this is not ongoing emotional or emergency support. If you cannot attend, please tell me at least 24 hours in advance. Any late-cancellation terms are agreed beforehand.
